Personal astrology →How to read a pendulum
A pendulum measures the rhythm of an influence. Each dial relates a planet currently moving across the sky (the row) to a planet of your birth chart (the column).
So every planet appears twice: as a row it is the transit planet, the one moving across the sky today; as a column it is the natal planet, the one that stood in its place on the day you were born and no longer moves. For example, the "Mercury" row is Mercury as it is in the sky right now, the "Mercury" column is the Mercury of your birth: the dial where they cross shows how the Mercury of the sky talks to yours.
The needle starts at the natal position then oscillates before settling: the further it swings and the more colour it takes, the more this pair of planets is "in rhythm" at that moment. It is not a prediction, it is the tempo of the moment.

The colours
- Green: flowing aspect (sextile, trine), things move easily
